Mindful and sorrowful of the recent attacks at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand and at Synagogues in Pittsburgh and San Diego, we know that individual acts of violence like this are heavily influenced by systemic oppression and state violence towards Muslims and Jews.
This workshop will explore the intersection of hatred toward Muslims with white supremacy, settler colonialism and U.S. imperialism. It will also examine the resurgence of Antisemitic hatred among white nationalists. We will explore what Antisemitism is and was it isn’t. Finally, we will have conversations on what principled solidarity to impacted groups looks like.
RSVP by June 1. We're asking for a donation of a $10 to pay for expenses. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and we have sliding scale options available.
