Dr. Gordon, author of Mapping Decline, has a new book, Citizen Brown: Race, Democracy and Inequality in the St. Louis Suburbs. On October 16thhe will discuss his new book which explores the "erasure" of black communities, such as Elmwood Park and Meacham Park, and how segregation and fragmented governance in the suburbs of St. Louis have undermined democratic citizenship. His talk will be followed by a community response panel and audience Q & A. Please also join for a reception from 6:00 -7:00 pm.
