ColorBrave is a series of community intergroup dialogues and educational presentations focused on race and bias and how to be “color brave” rather than “colorblind,” as inspired by the TED Talk “Color blind or color brave?” by Mellody Hobson.

This ColorBrave session focuses on “Criminal Justice and Racism” - an overview of the criminal justice system and the inherent racial bias within. Time will be spent understanding the underpinning policies and culture of criminalization that upholds an unfair justice system. Through a combination of content presentation and small/large conversations, participants will walk away with ideas for how to leverage their own influence to address the inequity of our criminal justice system.
