The Design Futures Public Interest Design (PID) Student Leadership Forum is a five-day, interdisciplinary forum bringing together student leaders from across the country with practitioners and university faculty who represent some of the most important thought leadership in this emerging subdiscipline.

Each year, Washington University sends 5 students to attend the forum: 2 from architecture, 2 from art and design, and 1 from a different division of the University. Students are selected based on their interest in and commitment to engaged practice in their work. The forum consists of multiple in-depth workshops lead by practitioners and educators, as well as guided reflection, discussion, and exploration of the host city.
