The St. Louis Community Foundation is excited to host a variety of Give STL Day trainings for nonprofits in the St. Louis region. All trainings are FREE to Give STL Day participants. These trainings will help you plan your Give STL Day campaign and your year-round digital and fundraising strategies.

The most successful programs are those that meet a documented community need. But how do you know if your program idea really is meeting a need? At this training, participants will walk through the basics of needs assessments - how to use your internal data, where to find external data, and what to look for in the competitive market. In addition, presenters will cover ideas regarding where to find information about the population you serve and who else is working with your identified market. By the end of the session, you will have an understanding of the elements of a good community needs assessment and how to use data to identify community need. In addition, you will walk away with tips and tricks to present that community assessment in a convincing manner.
