Investing in Inclusive Neighborhoods explores strategies for community-driven, place-based investments that support equitable neighborhood valuations and small/minority-owned business growth that leads to long-term wealth. During the event, speakers will discuss the need for equitable housing valuations, investments into small and minority-owned businesses, and how to ensure investment does not lead to displacement.

July 14: The impact of low asset valuation in neighborhoods
On day one of the event we will discuss policies and implications of disproportionately low asset valuation, especially in Black neighborhoods, and the associated high cost of development. A local panel of community development organizations will discuss the challenges they face when working to revitalize and reinvigorate neighborhoods, including strategies to prevent the displacement of homeowners and renters.
