Landlord/Rehabber Training: Avoiding Liability

You are invited to a Landlord & Rehabber Training, Tuesday, February 23, 6:30-8:30pm, Avoiding Liability: Legal Obligations to Your Tenant, Neighbors, and the Community, offered online in a Zoom meeting. Register here.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from Zoom. Save that email or copy and paste the information into your calendar. You will need that information to join the virtual workshop on February 23.

Presentations from Peter Hoffman, managing attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and Lauren Verseman, staff attorney for Equal Housing Opportunity Council to include:

- Discrimination and the Fair Housing Act

- Breach of the Warranty of Habitability to Tenants and Liability under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act

- Contract for Deed and Rent to Own Fraud;

- Property Maintenance Violation and Nuisance Litigation

The 2021 Landlord & Rehabber Training is a Northside-Southside Collaboration between North Newstead Association, The Vacancy Collaborative, and Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC. This FREE training is open to all landlords, property managers, rehabbers, developers, and interested parties. Zoom is ADA compliant with exceptions.
