CBN Members and Partners Receive $49 Million+ for 4 Affordable Housing Projects

CBN members Rise Community Development, Lutheran Development Group, and North Newstead Association, along with partners DOORWAYS and Efficacy Consulting and Development, have received over $49 million from the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) to complete 4 affordable housing development projects.

IFF Coordinates Capacity Building for Nonprofits Led by People of Color

IFF’s Stronger Nonprofits Initiative offers 14 months of capacity building to help People of Color-led nonprofits navigate systemic barriers to accessing capital and real estate opportunities. Ten St. Louis-area nonprofits were chosen to participate in the latest cohort, including CBN members Cornerstone Corporation, North Newstead Association, Northside Community Housing, and Rise Community Development.

In normal times, mid-November is when North Newstead Association would be gathering together to celebrate with their neighbors and supporters at their Annual Community Development Celebration and Fundraiser at the Barnett on Washington. North Newstead Association has been working with Invest STL, Fairground Neighborhood Revitalization Organization, Wellston Loop CDC, Lewis Place and Fountain Park Neighborhood Association, St. Louis Metro Market, and Urban Harvest STL to deliver fresh, nutritious produce to neighbors in the Fairground, Wells-Goodfellow, Fountain Park, and Lewis Place neighborhoods.

North Newstead Association Coordinating Rental Relief for Tenants

North Newstead Association has been coordinating rental relief for its tenants in partnership with local donors.

Thanks to the support of Mr. Collin Robinson and his supporters, North Newstead Association is able to provide $100 in rental relief to 13 residents struggling to pay their rent because of COVID-19.
