Bakers for Black Lives is hosting a food-forward jubilee and fundraiser to unite and mobilize the St. Louis community around racial justice work. Vicia and Cortex in midtown have graciously offered to host. In spirit, this will be very similar to our last event--but bigger and better! From 10:00am-2:00pm, the event will feature a growing number of local food vendors (Confirmed: Sump Coffee, Sugarfire STL, Simply Sweet LLC, Royally Baked, WellBeing Brewing, Hi Pointe STL, STL Barkeep, Clementine's Naughty & Nice Creamery, INDO - STL, Russel's Cafe, Balkan Treat Box , The Cup - CWE, St. Louis, MO, and more) and of course, offer curated tables of delicious baked goods from bakers and chefs from around the city, along with bottled, COVID-safe libations.
Bellwether and Polite Society Pastry Chef Sharon Harter and Alchemy Bakery Chef/Owner Tai Davis will dish up Juneteenth-inspired treats at the event’s “Signature Juneteenth Table.”
Once again, everything is “pay-as-you-wish.” Eat up!
100% of proceeds will go to Black social justice organizations in St. Louis (we are in touch with a few and this will be announced in the coming days!).
