The People’s Assembly is a community-led method of self-governance and advocacy, creating an open forum for individuals to become active participants and leaders within their communities.

Cherokee Street's Cinco de Mayo festival returns on Saturday, May 7! The festival will fill Cherokee Street between Nebraska and S. Jefferson.
The beloved People's Joy Parade kicks off at 1:11PM at Cherokee & Minnesota. The parade will travel north on Pennsylvania to Utah and head east until Texas, where it will head south back to Cherokee.
Cherokee will be filled with tacos, tortas, cervezas & treats with 80+ vendors lining the street. There will be three grand stages with music and dancing — at Nebraska, California and Texas. Find other attractions along the side streets, including the Hornitos Lucha Libre wrestling ring, the mechanical bull, Rinko de Cinco rollerskating crew, and the Kids Zone at Cherokee & Texas.

St. Louis’ social service community is looking to build long-lasting partnerships with landlords, property managers, stakeholders and developers to assist with housing our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Across the region, social service organizations have hundreds of clients looking for housing units.
During this virtual event, you will hear from landlords and organizations about the financial, social and case management support available to you. Organizers will also explain how funding and case management work based on the type of support our organizations provide. Presentation topics will include housing locator demonstrations, landlord and tenant law, and Covid relief funding.
