Dutchtown South Community Corporation (DSCC) is hosting a neighborhood leadership academy for residents in South St. Louis city, particularly Benton Park West, Gravois Park, and Dutchtown. The leadership academy is designed for residents to grow skills for implementation of the Gravois Jefferson Historic Neighborhoods Plan, adopted in May 2018 by the City's planning commission.

These activities are funded in part by a grant from HUD via the St. Louis Community Development Administration and InvestSTL, an initiative the St. Louis Community Foundation.

Workshop 1 - Zoning
This workshop will cover the basics of zoning processes, who is involved and when. Trainer will explain zoning structure and format as well code regulation (residential and commercial), exceptions, and innovations in zoning. Participants will learn about what role government(s) play in the zoning process as well as how to draft and update zoning codes.
