Dutchtown South Community Corporation (DSCC) is hosting a neighborhood leadership academy for residents in South St. Louis city, particularly Benton Park West, Gravois Park, and Dutchtown. The leadership academy is designed for residents to grow skills for implementation of the Gravois Jefferson Historic Neighborhoods Plan, adopted in May 2018 by the City's planning commission.

These activities are funded in part by a grant from HUD via the St. Louis Community Development Administration and InvestSTL, an initiative the St. Louis Community Foundation.

Workshop 5 - Understanding the Developer's Perspective
This workshop should lead participants through the development process from the perspective of the property developer. Trainers will review the basics of development, explain industry vocabulary and concepts, and discuss the expectations and responsibilities of the various parties involved in a development project. This training will provide participants with the insight needed to work with developers more effectively.
