St. Louis Community Credit Union is continuing their outreach partnership with the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. On Thursday, Nov. 12, SLCCU will host a mobile mammography van visit with breast cancer screenings for women age 40 and older (insured and uninsured). Mammograms are available at no charge to women who qualify (please check with medical insurance provider to verify benefits and eligibility).
The examinations will take place at our Benton Park branch (2828 Gravois Ave, 63118), beginning at 9 a.m. Participants must bring their insurance card, their physician’s name/phone number and a form of identification with them to their appointment.
Please know that safety is paramount. Some of Siteman’s safety measures for the mobile mammography visits will consist of the following:
· Patients will need to wait in their vehicle until the van is ready.
· Only two patients will be allowed in the van at any one time to allow for physical distancing.
· A temperature check and other screening before entry are required.
· Masks are required for patients and staff members.
Reserve your spot! The Siteman Cancer Center team is taking appointments now. All appointments must be made in advance. They are unable to accept walk-ins in order to provide Siteman staff enough time to clean after each appointment. To schedule a spot that works for you, please call 314-747-7222 or 1-800-600-3606. Please select option #2 to schedule a mammogram.
St. Louis Community Credit Union is honored to partner with Siteman to offer this much-needed healthcare service to the community. For more information on the mobile mammography van outreach, click here.
