The St. Louis County Council is having a public hearing on Bill No. 284 on Nov 19 that, if passed, will create an Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) in St. Louis County. The time is now to speak out about the proposed legislation.

What to speak out, but not sure how?

This meeting of Affordable Housing Trust Fund Coalition partners will:

1. Provide updates on what is happening with affordable housing in St. Louis County

2. Run through what to expect from the public hearing (e.g. where to park, how to find the correct room, how to sign up to speak, etc)

3. Support folks in crafting a message for public testimony and practicing with small groups

4. Brainstorm alternative ways to support for those who don’t feel comfortable speaking
