The sixth year of ColorBrave continues with a session on November 15, 2019!
Hosted by City Garden Montessori, ColorBrave is a series of community intergroup dialogues and educational presentations focused on race and bias and how to be “color brave” rather than “colorblind,” as inspired by the TED Talk “Color blind or color brave?” by Mellody Hobson.
This session explores the foundations and everyday considerations of the electoral process. Although City Garden Montessori does not directly nor indirectly support political candidates, we will hold a courageous, Colorbrave space for shared learning about this topic. By the end of the session, participants will be able to have more nuanced discussions about the definition of democracy, voter engagement, and the urgency of more effective canvassing.
